About Lisa Lauer, MA, LMHC, NCC
For 17 years, I have assisted my clients in creating more fulfilling lives and satisfying relationships. People can get trapped in patterns that negatively impact them. Their thoughts, feelings and behaviors improve as they learn more effective strategies for achieving their goals. In counseling, I help individuals and couples discover positive options for coping with the obstacles they face.
We all learn communication styles that may stand in the way of resolving relationship problems. If you are experiencing marital difficulties, it is beneficial to examine your role in relationship conflicts and develop skills which produce more successful ways of getting your needs met. If remaining married is not an option, I can support you in the healing process throughout and after divorce. Life transitions can be difficult, but they also can be an opportunity for a happier life and healthier, more enjoyable relationships.
I practice Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), a well-researched form of therapy that allows me to help individuals and couples with various challenges. My clinical experience has focused on: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, divorce adjustment, stress management, parenting strategies and grief/loss.
I am a Florida licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a certified school guidance counselor. Additionally, I am a certified advocate in domestic violence awareness, prevention and treatment. My main office is located in Palm Beach Gardens and I also can accommodate clients at my West Palm Beach and Lake Worth locations. I offer a flexible appointment schedule, including evenings and weekends.
