Greg Douglas, a Boynton Beach Marriage Counselor, is a therapist specializing in relationships issues, couples counseling, affair recovery, and men's issues. His counseling philosophy is based on unconditional acceptance of self and others. He believes that having a healthy sense of self-esteem sets the foundation for success in all areas of life. His unique understanding of male psychology, in addition to his personal experience, helps to show people that there are better ways to deal with difficult issues. He will help you define the destructive patterns that are causing you difficulty and will help you to find new ways of dealing with challenges. He believes that we develop patterns of behavior during childhood that serve us well and help us to cope with difficult challenges in life. Personal growth and healing evolves with insight about these patterns, as we make new, healthy choices. Our unique experiences have shaped our lives, and his approach promotes healing and growth in a safe and supportive environment.

Greg helps people to define their values and priorities and help them to find a way to live their life in accordance with what is most important to them. Helping an individual or couple find new ways to solve old problems provides him with a great sense of joy and fulfillment.

Greg's professional experience includes working in private practice as well as in the areas of dual-diagnosis and addictions. He has worked in a number of different treatment settings including inpatient, PHP, IOP, outpatient, and mediation assisted treatment. He attained his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University where he also competed on the men's golf team. He achieved his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and worked in the university counseling center as part of his internship for the mental health program. His outside interests include spending time with his family, playing competitive tennis, working out, and following his favorite sports teams. He has lived in the South Florida area for over 12 years and currently lives in Boynton Beach, FL with his wife and three children.
